Saint Dominic's Family Services is an Equal Opportunity Employer (Minorities/Females/Disabled/Veterans)To read more about this, view the EEO is the Law poster and this EEO is the Law Poster Supplement.Job SummaryINTERNSHIP – Orange County, full time/part time, total hours per week from salary to salary.Duties & ResponsibilitiesA student wishing to complete an internship at Saint Dominic's home must first contact the office of the Executive Vice‑President for Programs and Public Relations.The EVP for Programs and Public Relations determines the most suitable area or department for the intern, based on the student's college requirements.The EVP communicates that decision to the director of the designated area or department, who accepts the responsibility of guiding the intern.The EVP informs the relevant recruiter in Human Resources to conduct the required mandatory clearances.Applications for the internship can be completed online by visiting our website: www.stdominicshome.org. The recruiter schedules the intern for internal paperwork and clearance authorizations such as: Staff Exclusion List (SEL), Employee Data Sheet, emergency contact, National Sex Offender Inquiry Authorization, NYS OCFS Statewide Central Register Database Check, and Medicaid Fraud Check.Physical, drug‑test, fingerprinting and other procedural requirements are handled by the recruiter, with the same steps used for new hires.The recruiter verifies employment history and reference information, and upon receipt of all clearances informs the supervisor and the intern to coordinate the start date and provide any necessary training.Upon completion of the internship, the director informs Human Resources so that separation procedures can be followed.Education & ExperienceThe EVP for Programs and Public Relations determines the most suitable area or department for the intern, based on the student's college requirements.Physical RequirementsThe EVP for Programs and Public Relations determines the most suitable area or department for the intern, based on the student's college requirements.Note: All files are kept in Human Resources.
