Interoperability Business Systems Analyst (Healthcare)

What you'll be doing
As an Interoperability Business Systems Analyst, you will support healthcare data integration initiatives involving EHR platforms such as Epic and Oracle Health. You will partner with business stakeholders, EHR vendors, and technical teams to gather and translate business requirements into actionable integration solutions across healthcare interoperability and data exchange programs.
Responsibilities:
Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements for healthcare integration projects.
Create user stories, use cases, process flows, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
Analyze and document healthcare data exchange workflows involving APIs, SFTP, and Kafka.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, EHR vendors, and technical teams to define integration requirements.
Perform data mapping and support interoperability solution design.
Participate in testing activities, including SIT, UAT, and production validation.
Support defect triage, root-cause analysis, and issue resolution throughout the project lifecycle.
Act as a liaison between business and technical teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
Required:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Healthcare Informatics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
CBAP, CCBA, or equivalent business analysis certification is preferred.
Knowledge of FHIR, HL7, EDI, or healthcare interoperability standards.
Experience with payer, provider, member, claims, or clinical data domains.
6+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or Business Analyst. Experience supporting healthcare interoperability and data integration initiatives. Knowledge of Epic, Oracle Health, or other EHR platforms.
Strong expertise in Requirements Elicitation, Process Analysis, User Stories & Acceptance Criteria, Data Mapping, Stakeholder Management, and Testing & Defect Management.
Experience with API, SFTP, and Kafka-based integrations.
Understanding of healthcare data and interoperability concepts.
Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
