2026/2027 School Year |$25-$35/hr. | Interpreter | Part-Time/ PRN | Various Locations -Texas | In-Person
About the Role:
Provide interpretation services for students and families, for school meetings. This role requires strong real-time interpreting skills, collaboration with teachers, staff, and related service providers to support student/family during meetings and conferences.

What You'll Do:
• Collaborate with teachers, SPED staff, and related service providers to support student success and IEP goals
• Support communication during meetings, assessments, and other school activities as needed
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards of interpreting
What We're Looking For:
Must Have:
Professional fluency in English and at least one of the following languages:
Vietnamese, Mandarin (simplified or traditional),Farsi, Arabic, Tagalog, Korean, Cantonese, Dari, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Turkish, German and Russian
• Experience providing interpretation in professional, educational, healthcare, or community settings.
• Ability to pass Simulated Interpretation Exercise.
• Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to interpret accurately in real time.
• Ability to pass background screening appropriate for school-aged populations.
• Educational Context Training includes FERPA confidentiality protocol. A signed FERPA acknowledgment on file before any placement.
Preferred:
• Bilingual education degree or linguistics background.
• National interpreter certification or completion of a recognized interpreter training program. ATA (American Translators Association) membership or certification. CCHI or CoreCHI certification, NBCMI certification.
• Experience working in school-based or educational settings
• Familiarity with IEP environments and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Strong communication, organization, and adaptability
