QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate''s degree or equivalent
- Must meet district hiring requirements
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
- Help students to achieve their greatest potential
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with colleagues
- Supervise and/or work with students both individually and in small groups as directed by teacher
- Assist in preparing an/or duplicating classroom materials
- Act as liaison for District, community, staff, students and parents with tact and diplomacy
- Demonstrate knowledge of subject matter and present clear complete an accurate explanations utilizing a variety of instructional techniques and media suitable to the level of learners
- Provide recommendations for appropriate intervention for qualifying students
- Communicate and work closely with the regular classroom teachers while developing each students intervention program
- Maintain respect at all times for confidential information e.g., student records
- Regularly communicate with parents and administrators
- Ability to communicate ideas and directives clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing
