Global Language Connections provides interpreting and translation services to hospitals, clinics, legal, and education sectors. We are currently looking for professional interpreters and translators to work as independent contractors. The flexible schedule allows you to work when you are available. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES•Provide interpreting services as an independent contractorComply with the Interpreter Code of EthicsPerform duties in a professional mannerTurn in client worksheets within 24 hours of the appointmentQUALIFICATIONSMust demonstrate fluency in English and language you are interpretingEffective in time managementProfessional demeanor and appearanceMedical or legal interpreter training -Examples: Interpreting degree, 40 Hours CoreCHI Community Interpreter Continuing EducationPrior interpreting preferredCompleted Immunization RecordsProof of citizenship or valid work permitReliable transportationMust be 18 years of age or olderHigh School Diploma or GEDPreferably some collegeMust be able to pass Background Checks
