Interpreter Services Program Manager, Belonging and Health Equity

Responsibilities:

The Interpreter Services Program Manager oversees the coordination, quality, and operational effectiveness of the organization’s language access and interpreter programs. This role ensures compliance with regulatory standards related to language access while supporting equitable communication between patients, families, and care teams. The Interpreter Services Program Manager recruits, schedules, and supports interpreters while collaborating with clinical departments to improve patient experience and culturally responsive care delivery. This role monitors utilization, service quality, and opportunities to improve access for patients with limited English proficiency.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Partners with outside language services vendors to ensure cost effectiveness.

• Works cross functionally to create, implement and manage strategies, and programs in support of belonging and health equity as department goal.

• Coordinates the administration functions of language services program.

• Conducts research and analysis on methods for enhancing language services.

• Delivers education and training programs to promote and sustain language services.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Three years translation or program management experience
• Bachelor Degree
• Successful completion of a Medical Interpreter program

• Certified Medical Assistant
