Birch Agency is seeking a passionate and dedicated Intervention Specialist to support elementary and middle school students in the Columbus, Ohio area. What You'll Do

• 
  Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to support student success.
  
• 
  Provide specialized instruction and individualized interventions to help students achieve academic and social-emotional goals.
  
• 
  Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, specialists, and families to create a supportive learning environment.
  
• 
  Adapt instructional strategies, curriculum, and materials to meet the diverse needs of students.
  
• 
  Assess student progress and use data to adjust instruction and intervention plans.
  
• 
  Support students in developing independence, confidence, and positive learning skills.
  
• 
  Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with special education requirements.
  

What You Bring

• 
  Experience working as an Intervention Specialist, Special Education Teacher, or in a related role.
  
• 
  Strong understanding of child development, instructional strategies, and special education practices.
  
• 
  Ability to create positive relationships with students and provide effective support.
  
• 
  Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.
  
• 
  Patient, dependable, adaptable, and student-focused approach.
  
• 
  Ability to help students navigate academic, behavioral, and social challenges.
  

Qualifications

• 
  Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
  
• 
  Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist teaching license/certification.
  
• 
  Previous experience working with students with special needs preferred.
  
• 
  Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
  
• 
  Familiarity with classroom safety and sanitation guidelines.
