We are looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our MHVI: In-Patient and Interventional Cardiology team at MedStar Washington Hospital Center. We're helping move cardiovascular care forward regionally and nationally through our MedStar Heart & Vascular Institute, with clinical research, better diagnostic tools, and advanced treatments that are always patient focused.

In this role, the PA/NP would work closely with a Hospitalist team to see general and interventional Cardiology patients. We are seeking an experienced candidate who is able to commit to at least (2) ten-hour shifts per month. In this position you will be seeing pre and post procedure patients in the cath lab as well as seeing/treating ER unassigned and transfer admissions as needed.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in an ICU or Cardiology setting. This position deals primarily in an in-patient setting. The work schedule will include days, evenings, and rotating weekends.

Minimal Qualifications

Education

• Graduation from a Physician Assistant Program accredited by the Commission of Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program. required and
• Bachelor's degree required and
• Master's degree (Physician Assistant or Acute Care Nurse Practitioner program)
