Responsible for operation of the hybrid fluoroscopy Radiologic equipment along with general radiologic equipment.
Minimum one year experience as a Radiologic Technologist practicing in Pediatrics is required.
License and/or Certification

Preferred:
Experience in biplane fluoroscopy equipment is strongly preferred.
Experience in cardio-vascular interventional radiology is strongly preferred

Responsible for performing routine to complex diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures at a level that does not require constant supervision of technical detail. The technologist has a constant awareness of infection control standards, the importance of sterility and an acute awareness of patient care protocols. Operates under the supervision of a physician.
Duties
Performs all routine radiographic procedures according to department standards, protocols and guidelines required by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and the State of Connecticut.
Reviews and assesses the overall quality of images taken.
Sterile technique policies and practices are followed and monitored.
Maintains adequate stock levels and personal protection equipment
Actively participates in the maintenance of stock
Maintains professionalism in line with organizations core values and behaviors
Displays accuracy in proper EPIC documentation
Displays accuracy in image annotation and laterality marking
Positions properly for procedure
Records fluoroscopy times according to regulatory guidelines
Wears radiation badge accordingly
Wears appropriate PPE
Guides non radiology personnel in safe radiation practices.
Performs equipment quality assurance and records accordingly
Assist in training of staff
Successfully completes any continuing education, staff meetings and training
Follow CHAMP safety behaviors and upholds Connecticut Children's Code of Conduct.
