Interventional Radiologic Technologist in Chicago, IL

Key Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Valid ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification
• Current state Radiologic Technologist license, as applicable
• 1+ year of experience as an IR Tech or in a high-acuity radiology setting
• Proficiency with angiography and fluoroscopy equipment
• Familiarity with sterile technique and infection control protocols
• Exceptional organizational and communication abilities
• CPR/BLS certification

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare and operate IR imaging equipment for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
• Assist physicians during minimally invasive image-guided interventions
• Ensure patient comfort and safety before, during, and after procedures
• Monitor and document patient status, procedural steps, and imaging results
• Maintain adherence to radiation safety policies and department standards
• Perform quality control checks and equipment maintenance as needed
• Accurately manage imaging records and patient documentation
• Provide clear, compassionate communication with patients and interdisciplinary team members
