Job Description:

  • Provides strong leadership and mentorship, ensures high-quality clinical care, supports staff development, and maintains clear communication and planning for patient care delivery.
  • Utilizes critical thinking and technology in decision-making, problem-solving, and integrating new systems to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Leads and supports performance and quality improvement initiatives, implements evidence-based practice changes, and ensures compliance with professional standards and hospital policies. Oversees staff performance, manages staffing, hiring, orientation, and discipline, while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
  • Manages budgets and resources, maintains appropriate staffing and understands healthcare finance.
  • Encourages interdisciplinary collaboration and maintains positive relationships with patients, staff, vendors, and other departments to ensure patient-centered care.
  • Demonstrates professionalism, supports ongoing education and development, maintains confidentiality, and upholds ethical standards and organizational policies.
  • Communicates effectively with patients, families, staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient focused care.
  • Educates and mentors staff, ensuring adherence to clinical practice models and evidence-based practices.
  • Develops and implements policies, procedures, and process improvement initiatives in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Fosters patient, family, staff, and physician satisfaction, understanding its impact on business goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrates proficiency while working effectively with an interdisciplinary team. Must be a self-starter and consistently demonstrate initiative when encountering obstacles. [Required]
  • Must be able to read, write, speak, and have good comprehension of conversational English [Required]
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office [Required]

Education:

  • Bachelor's of Nursing [Required]
  • Master's [Preferred]

Work Experience:

  • 5+ experience in an acute care setting with demonstrated leadership abilities; appropriate decision making with a history of positive interpersonal relationships with hospital team members, patients and visitors. [Required]
