Responsibilities Perform advanced diagnostic imaging procedures as an Interventional Radiology Technologist, delivering high-quality patient care that supports accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Prepare and position patients, selecting precise anatomic and technical parameters to ensure optimal image quality and procedural safety. Administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice while maintaining compliant clinical documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR). Monitor patient status during interventional, vascular, and therapeutic procedures, promptly reporting abnormalities to the Radiologist and interdisciplinary team.

Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted required.
  • Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Texas Medical Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
  • One or more of the following required:
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Cardiographic Tech specializing in Electrophysiology credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Vascular Interventional Radiography, Cardiac Interventional Radiography and Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography also accepted.
  • Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted preferred.

Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associates degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
