Responsibilities

Lead the execution of complex vascular and interventional procedures, partnering directly with Radiologists and PAs to provide the critical diagnostic aid needed for life-saving treatments.

Create high-precision medical images by expertly positioning patients and selecting technical parameters, ensuring the medical team has the exact data required for successful interventions.

Administer contrast media and medications with clinical accuracy, strictly following safety regulations to enhance diagnostic clarity while prioritizing patient safety.

Protect the safety of the patient and the surgical team by vigilantly monitoring for abnormal reactions and strictly adhering to all radiation safety protocols and guidelines.

Support the continuous improvement of the department by evaluating imaging protocols and recommending refinements that ensure we meet the highest regulatory and clinical standards.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Vascular-Intrvn Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 15 Months (1 1/4 year) of hire date or job transfer date required. General Radiography required in addition to Vascular Interventional Radiology required.
  • State Radiology Technologist licensure issued by Wisconsin Radiography Examining Board required. General Radiology and state licensure required by hire or job transfer date.
  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) preferred.

Education:

  • High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associates degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

  • 830AM-5PM
  • 24/7 on call floating with EMH
  • Every third weekend requirement and holiday on call requirements
  • ARRT and BLS certified. WI license
