Job Summary and Qualifications Interventional Radiology TechnologistWe are seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist on a full-time basis to operate medical diagnostic imaging equipment and assist in imaging procedures such as angiography, as well as those performed in the Interventional Radiology Lab (scrubbing, circulating, and recording/monitoring patient status).We prioritize patient care. If you are dedicated to caring for the well-being of others, this could be your next opportunity.Responsibilities may include:Demonstrate accountability and responsibility and perform procedures in a caring, compassionate, and respectful manner.You will prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe, competent manner in accordance with established operating procedures.You will perform technical radiographic procedures in accordance with established operating procedures and routines accurately and in a timely manner.You will assist in administration of contrast media in accordance with departmental policy and procedure.You will obtain high quality radiographic images; reviews quality of radiographs to insure quality standards have been met. You will obtain and document all pertinent patient information prior to exam, i.e., patient history, pregnancy, allergies and obtains informed consent in accordance with departmental policy and procedure.You will maintain effective communication with patient; provides explanation of procedures within scope of practice.You will maintain proactive and effective communication with radiologists.You will be responsible for rotating call will be assigned.What qualifications you will need:High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)Associate Degree from a 2-year AMA approved School of Radiologic TechnologyClear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT)Valid ARRT credentialCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationMinimum of 1-3 years licensed experience in Radiology; one (1) year of IR experience preferredAngio, Peripheral and Neuro experience a plus Benefits HCA Florida Sarasota Doctors Hospital, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
