Interventional Radiology Technician

Duties:

" Assist proceduralist during complex diagnostic and interventional vascular, neuro-interventional cases with scrubbing side by side with specialty proceduralist
" Strong knowledge with Floor and ceiling mounted fluoroscopic modality machines
" The ability to identify, retrieve, and Circulate complex products during interventional procedural cases
" The ability to critically think during neuro-interventional cases and complex cases to assist proceduralist
" The ability to operate power injection of iodinated contrast media device during diagnostic and interventional procedures
" Strong communication skills using closed loop communication
" The ability to maintain sterile technique and maintain infection prevention measures to set up procedural trays for case load
" Positively contribute to a multi-disciplinary team of with nurses, radiologist, and vascular surgeons
" Knowledge of documentation in electronic medical record and send images to Sectra/PACs system
" Groin management post intervention
" Demonstrate the ability to provide high quality care in a fast paced environment
" BLS from an approved AHS credentialed American heart association or a BLS accredited with skill demonstration in basic life support measures
" Current licensure with the certification with ARRT NJ state ( defined in above JD.)
" This role is similar to a cardiovascular technologist ( CVT) but MUST have radiographic licensure to operate x-ray fluoroscopic modalities.

3-5 years of experience as Interventional Radiologic technologist or a Cardio-Vascular technologist with NJ radiographic licensure.

Required 3-5 years exp Scrub assist
3-12 twelve-hour shifts or 4-10 hour shift with ONCALL every 4th weekend and 1 day per week
