What You'll Do As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will:

• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures.
• Prepare patients for procedures, including explaining processes and ensuring comfort and safety.
• Operate imaging equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Maintain sterile technique and adhere to radiation safety standards.
• Monitor patients during procedures and respond appropriately to changes in condition.
• Ensure proper documentation, equipment readiness, and supply management.
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and other team members to provide exceptional patient care.
• Uphold Novant Health's standards for patient safety, quality, and service excellence.

What We're Looking For

Qualifications: Education: High school diploma required. Associate degree preferred. Graduate of an accredited radiology program or a certified/accredited JCERT hospital-based program and credentialed by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Associates degree required beginning January, 2015 required.

Experience: One year previous interventional radiology experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration: ARRT and CPR required. Applicable state licensure as required. CI, CV, VI or military health system program preferred.

Additional Skills: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing. Thorough knowledge of interventional procedures and workflow. Strong attention to detail and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Commitment to patient safety, quality care, and continuous improvement.
