Overview
WakeMed is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our Angiography team. In this role, you will assist physicians in performing a wide range of diagnostic and interventional procedures while operating advanced angiographic imaging equipment in accordance with radiation safety standards.
This position plays a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality patient care in a fast-paced, procedural environment and includes a call rotation for after-hours support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare for procedures by reviewing patient profiles, physician orders, and ensuring readiness of equipment and supplies
- Operate angiographic imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic and procedural images
- Monitor patients' condition, safety, and comfort throughout procedures; promptly report any changes
- Adjust and maintain imaging equipment; perform routine testing and troubleshoot minor issues
- Accurately document clinical and diagnostic data within electronic medical record systems
- Collaborate with physicians and clinical staff to support diagnostic interpretation and interventional outcomes
- Maintain a safe, efficient workflow while prioritizing patient care and procedural needs

Education & Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (Required)
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical radiology experience (Required)
Licensure & Certification:
- Registered Technologist in Radiography (ARRT or equivalent) (Required)
- Registered Technologist in Vascular-Interventional Radiography (VI)
- Required within 1 year of hire
