This position is eligible for a Sign-On Bonus of up to $20,000
Responsibilities:
- Administers contrast media per protocol under proceduralist supervision.
- Performs accurate patient positioning and radiographic techniques for interventional procedures.
- Prepares patients, operates equipment, and monitors systems with full procedural understanding.
- Verifies patient identity using two identifiers and follows universal safety protocols.
- Reviews patient history and physician orders to apply appropriate imaging protocols.
- Accurately documents patient history in the electronic medical record.
- Maintains aseptic technique and ensures patient safety through time-out procedures.
- Communicates instructions and procedure details clearly to patients to reduce anxiety and gain cooperation.
- Ensures proper exam coding, image archiving, and charge entry in RIS and ISITE systems.
- Collaborates effectively with patients and staff, supporting general radiographic procedures as needed.
Schedule: This position will primarily work Monday-Friday, with rotating, 8-hour shifts of 6AM-2:30PM; 6:30AM-3PM, and 7AM-3:30PMThis position will require the employee to work on-call with a 30-minute response time. May be subject to work other days/shifts based on hospital needs.
Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology or an accredited program in invasive cardiovascular technology.
