Days per year: 187 Min: $62,750 JOB TITLE: Interventionist REPORTS TO: Principal WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Exempt PAY GRADE: Teacher Salary Scale PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Interventionist is responsible for supporting administrators and teachers in their efforts to prepare students for academic success in a Blended Learning environment. Instructional Interventionist will work with students in need of this service. QUALIFICATIONS: Required: Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university Valid Texas teaching certification Preferred: A minimum of three years of successful teaching SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Excellent motivational skills with students and teachers Experience in coaching and teaching other teachers Ability to work well with others Ability to exhibit flexibility. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Assist with bridging the gap of reading and math skills with students not meeting standards. Collaborate with all teachers to ensure all grade levels receive quality instruction on a daily basis Ensure that students are learning math and reading through literacy concepts. Monitor and track student progress every 3 weeks. Perform all other duties as assigned. WORKING CONDITIONS: Maintain emotional control under stress.
