If you have extensive knowledge of and ability to interpret federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations, and policies pertaining to HIV and surveillance and research and are looking for your next career move, apply now. **Job Description** We are looking for an Interviewer/Abstractor to review medical records of patients, interview them to assist in determining if patients qualify for participation in related projects while assure compliance with CDC and state security and confidentiality standards. This position will be Full-Time and Remote. Only work authorizations that will not require sponsorship now or in the future will be considered. **What You'll Do** + The incumbent will also review medical records related to the patients HIV diagnosis + Assure compliance with CDC and state security and confidentiality standards and procedures + Is responsible for assisting in determination if clients qualify for project participation + The incumbent will interview selected HIV positive individuals using a standardized questionnaire + The incumbent will review medical records from selected program patient's medical file for specific health related information. + Present at education/information meetings and prepares necessary materials + Maintains current, accurate, secure database of facilities, providers, and patients + Performs related tasks as required **What You'll Need** Required: + Extensive knowledge of and ability to interpret federal, state, and local laws, rules, regulations, and policies pertaining to HIV and surveillance and research + Broad knowledge of the operation of health care provider agencies including hospitals, clinics, health departments, and state and county facilities such as prisons/jails + Ability to work with and maintain confidentiality and security of HIV surveillance data + Ability to conduct and complete confidential patient interviews and medical record reviews + Ability to learn about state and federal departments and agencies which have programs or services affecting HIV surveillance, including knowledge of the Indiana Department of Health and its services and policies + Ability to effectively work with community organizations, individuals, and health care professionals + Ability to learn to utilize Microsoft Office products such as MS Word **Physical Demands** + Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards. + Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor. + Must be able to communicate with customers/team members over the phone and in person. + Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc. \#DNP **Reasonable accommodation statement** If you require a reasonable accommodation in completing this application, interviewing, completing any pre-employment testing, or otherwise participating in the employment selection process, please direct your inquiries to application.accommodations@cai.io or (888) 824 - 8111. $25.80 The pay range for this position is listed above.
