The City of Thibodaux is accepting online applications for promotional test for Assistant Fire Inspector. This position is only open to Public Works qualified applicants. The deadline to apply is Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at 12:00 (noon).
The purpose of this position is to inspect and test hydrants to verify that the hydrants are functioning in accordance with appropriate laws, ordinances, regulations, and standards. This accomplished by conducting and maintaining records of fire hydrant flow tests. Other duties include soda blasting, scraping and painting hydrants.
