Inventor CAD Designer - Remote - Project-Based - DEC25 - 1018
We are seeking an experienced Inventor CAD Designer to support a project-based assignment focused on the design and development of marine propeller components. The role requires strong proficiency in Autodesk Inventor.
Key Responsibilities
Create and modify 3D CAD models using Autodesk Inventor
Develop surfaces and freeform geometry, particularly for propeller blades
Interpret engineering requirements, sketches, 3D scans , and reference data into detailed CAD designs
Produce 2D drawings with appropriate dimensions, tolerances, and notes
Ensure designs are manufacturable
Support design iterations, reviews, and change requests throughout the project lifecycle
Collaborate with engineers, analysts, and manufacturing teams as required
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a CAD Designer / Mechanical Designer
Strong proficiency in Autodesk Inventor
Demonstrated experience with surfacing and complex geometry
Experience designing marine propellers, turbines, impellers, or similar rotating components
Solid understanding of mechanical design principles
Ability to work independently on a project-based assignment
Strong attention to detail and design accuracy
