Inventory Accounting Coordinator
Location: Hybrid Schedule – In-office Monday through Thursday, Remote Fridays!!
Compensation: $55,000 - $70,000

About the Opportunity
Our client is a global leader in apparel manufacturing and one of the most recognized names in the industry. With operations spanning multiple countries and partnerships with some of the world's most respected retail brands, the company continues to drive innovation, quality, and operational excellence throughout its supply chain.
Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Inventory Accounting Coordinator to join their finance team. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional to gain hands-on experience in inventory accounting, manufacturing finance, and SAP within a collaborative environment that provides long-term career growth, competitive benefits, and strong leadership support.
Responsibilities

  • Maintain and reconcile inventory records to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Assist with inventory accounting activities, including inventory valuation and transaction analysis
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes by preparing journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and work with operations, warehouse, and supply chain teams to resolve issues
  • Monitor inventory movements and ensure transactions are properly recorded within SAP
  • Assist with physical inventory counts and cycle count programs
  • Prepare inventory-related reports and analyses for management review
  • Support cost accounting functions, including inventory costing, variance tracking, and manufacturing cost analysis
  • Reconcile inventory sub-ledgers to the general ledger
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests related to inventory and financial reporting
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to enhance inventory accuracy and reporting efficiency
  • Maintain documentation and support compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline required
  • 1-3 years of accounting, inventory accounting, finance, or related experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing, distribution, retail, or supply chain environment preferred
  • Experience working with SAP or another ERP system preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis and reporting
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles and inventory accounting concepts
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
