SWIM USA is a family owned and operated swimwear company established in 1936. We are a global industry leader in the design, manufacture, and marketing of branded, licensed, and private label swimwear. We are looking for an Inventory Analyst to join our team.
Overview
The Inventory Analyst owns the accuracy and integrity of inventory data across the business. This role is for someone who doesn’t just execute tasks — they take ownership of the process, spot problems before they become issues, and have the Excel horsepower to turn messy data into clean answers fast.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the day-to-day integrity of inventory data across systems, reports, and physical stock — you are the person the business counts on to get it right.
- Drive alignment between ERP platforms, spreadsheets, and operational dashboards; investigate and resolve data mismatches rather than just flag them.
- Run daily inventory cycles end-to-end - reconciliations, stock adjustments, cycle counts, and exception handling.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies, system errors, and process gaps; escalate only what truly needs escalation.
- Build and maintain advanced Excel-based reporting tools (and other BI tools) that give operations and leadership real visibility into what’s moving, what’s stuck, and what’s at risk.
- Lead cross-functional conversations with operations, product management, finance, and warehouse to close out inventory issues; hold stakeholders accountable to follow-through.
- Monitor inventory trends and proactively surface risks and opportunities - aging stock, slow-movers, variance patterns, process breakdowns.
- Recommend and implement workflow and reporting improvements; measure whether they actually worked.
Skills & Qualifications
- Excel is required. You should be fully comfortable with:
- Complex nested formulas, XLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS, array formulas
- Pivot tables and PivotCharts against large datasets
- Power Query for data cleanup and transformation
- Building self-refreshing, error-handled workbooks others can rely on
- Handling 100k+ row datasets without grinding Excel to a halt
- Strong analytical mindset; able to troubleshoot and solve problems independently without being walked through them.
- PLUS - Hands-on experience with inventory management systems or ERP platforms
- Attention to detail and a personal standard for data accuracy.
- Clear communicator - can raise issues cleanly, push back when the data says something different, and keep cross-functional partners moving.
- Able to juggle multiple active workstreams and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
