PGS Worldwide is seeking an Inventory and Materials Assistant in Grand Prairie, TX for a contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.
The Inventory and Materials Assistant will support Integrated Supply Management operations, including packaging, handling, storage, transportation, shipping, receiving, inventory control, material records, and warehouse support. This onsite role requires forklift or pallet stacker experience, shipping and receiving experience, warehousing experience, Microsoft Office skills, and the ability to operate a non-CDL box truck.
Required Skills
- 3+ years of forklift and/or pallet stacker experience.
- 3+ years of shipping and receiving warehouse operations experience.
- 3+ years of warehousing experience.
- 3+ years of Microsoft Office experience, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to operate a box truck with a gross vehicle weight up to 26,000 lbs. with a 40 lb. lift gate; CDL not required.
- Ability to compile records related to material quantity, cost, type, receipt, stock, and issue activity.
- Ability to requisition needed shipping supplies.
- Ability to verify received materials and assets for irregularities.
- Ability to inspect articles and reject defective assets.
- Ability to prepare inventory records and reports.
- Ability to investigate discrepancies in stock quantity, condition, and account records.
Preferred Skills
- Experience packaging items for shipment to commercial and military standards.
- Calibration management experience.
- Inventory management software experience.
- Basic understanding of U.S. Army supply operations.
- Experience driving a 24-foot box truck with lift gate.
- Prior military experience.
- Experience supporting packaging, handling, storage, transportation, shipping, receiving, or inventory management operations.
What You’ll Do
- Support Integrated Supply Management operations.
- Support packaging, handling, storage, transportation, shipping, receiving, and inventory management activity.
- Compile material records related to received, stocked, and issued materials.
- Requisition needed shipping supplies.
- Verify received materials and assets for irregularities.
- Inspect items and reject defective assets.
- Prepare inventory records and reports.
- Investigate discrepancies in stock counts, quantities, condition, and account records.
- Support warehouse operations using forklifts, pallet stackers, and related equipment.
- Operate a non-CDL box truck with lift gate as needed.
- Coordinate with internal teams to support accurate material movement, inventory control, and shipment activity.
Work Schedule / Shift
- Onsite role in Grand Prairie, TX.
- Full-time schedule.
- Overtime expected as needed.
