Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Inventory and Replenishment Manager to lead inventory control and replenishment activities within a fast-paced warehouse and fulfillment environment. This position is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing product flow, resolving inventory discrepancies, and ensuring replenishment strategies support operational requirements and customer expectations.
The ideal candidate brings strong experience in
inventory management, replenishment, warehouse operations, cycle counting, and inventory auditing, along with the analytical skills needed to identify root causes and implement sustainable improvements. Experience supporting both
DTC and B2B fulfillment operations is important for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management & Control
Lead daily inventory control activities across multiple shifts.
Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure discrepancies are identified, investigated, and resolved promptly.
Conduct and oversee scheduled and unscheduled cycle counts, location audits, and inventory validations.
Investigate inventory variances, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
Manage inventory reconciliation processes associated with brand exits and marketplace removals, including Amazon, Shopify, and other channels.
Oversee the identification, removal, documentation, and disposition of expired inventory.
Ensure inventory activities comply with customer-specific requirements and internal inventory control standards.
Partner with Operations and Systems teams to improve inventory accuracy and overall warehouse performance.
Replenishment & Product Flow
Coordinate replenishment activities between reserve storage and active pick locations.
Analyze and optimize replenishment parameters, including minimum/maximum inventory levels, replenishment triggers, and slotting strategies.
Monitor inventory availability to ensure fulfillment teams have the product needed to meet customer demand.
Identify potential inventory shortages, overages, and product-flow issues before they impact operations.
Balance inventory availability with efficient warehouse space utilization and operational productivity.
Support replenishment strategies for both direct-to-consumer (DTC) and business-to-business (B2B) fulfillment operations.
Operational Planning & Continuous Improvement
Build and execute productivity plans based on forecasts, operational requirements, and customer expectations.
Analyze inventory and replenishment performance to identify opportunities for increased accuracy and efficiency.
Lead or support process improvement initiatives related to inventory control, replenishment, product flow, and warehouse operations.
Develop corrective action plans when inventory performance falls below established expectations.
Share inventory best practices across warehouse teams and help establish consistent processes.
Assist operational teams in resolving complex inventory-related challenges.
Leadership & Cross-Functional Partnership
Develop strong relationships with senior leadership and serve as a trusted resource on inventory and replenishment matters.
Collaborate with Operations, Systems, fulfillment teams, and other departments to resolve issues and improve performance.
Communicate inventory risks, discrepancies, trends, and improvement opportunities clearly to leadership.
Manage multiple priorities while maintaining strong organization, communication, and follow-through.
Help reinforce accountability and consistent inventory practices across multiple shifts and operational teams.
Required Qualifications
Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
Previous experience in inventory management, replenishment, and warehouse operations.
Hands-on experience conducting cycle counts, location audits, and inventory reconciliations.
Strong knowledge of warehouse inventory control processes and best practices.
Experience working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory-related technology.
Experience supporting DTC and B2B order fulfillment operations.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate inventory discrepancies and determine root causes.
Strong organizational and administrative skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to collaborate effectively across multiple departments, shifts, and functional teams.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The strongest candidate will be a
hands-on inventory leader who understands both the analytical and operational sides of warehouse inventory management. This person should be comfortable digging into inventory discrepancies, conducting root cause analysis, adjusting replenishment strategies, and partnering directly with warehouse teams to improve execution.
They should understand how
inventory accuracy, replenishment, slotting, product availability, and fulfillment performance are interconnected and be able to use data to make informed decisions. Experience supporting high-volume
DTC and B2B fulfillment, particularly environments involving platforms such as Amazon or Shopify, would be especially valuable.
This role is well suited for someone who can move between
strategic inventory planning and hands-on operational problem-solving, while building credibility with warehouse teams, systems partners, and senior leadership.
