About the Company
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory and Shipping Clerk to join our administrative team and support daily inventory, shipping, and customer service functions.
Position Summary
The Inventory and Shipping Clerk plays a vital role in coordinating customer orders, invoicing, inventory records, and shipping logistics. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers, freight companies, and internal departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Process customer orders from pick tickets and bills of lading through final invoicing.
- Complete end-of-day processing, posting, and balancing activities.
- Maintain and update customer records.
- Coordinate lumber load pickups with freight companies and communicate with shipping personnel.
- Prepare and distribute daily production reports.
- Set up new forest tracts for timber purchasing operations.
- Assist with administrative and inventory-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 2 years of office experience required; experience with sales invoicing preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and general computer systems.
- Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule when necessary, including occasional days extending to 5:00–5:30 PM.
