Inventory Associate II
Location: El Paso, TX
Type: Contract | On-site
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST
Compensation: Up to $33.00/hour
Position Overview
We are seeking an Inventory Associate II to support warehouse and fulfillment operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for receiving, inspecting, storing, packaging, and moving materials while maintaining inventory accuracy and supporting production requirements. The ideal candidate has experience in fulfillment center operations, inventory control, and material handling, with the ability to safely operate forklifts and other powered industrial equipment.
Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Fulfillment Operations
- Receive incoming shipments and unload deliveries from carriers.
- Inspect incoming materials to ensure they meet quality and receiving standards.
- Perform quality control checks according to established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Accurately document receipts and complete work orders within inventory management systems.
- Perform inventory transactions and data entry while maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Package, wrap, and protect materials according to product and shipping requirements.
- Sort, stage, and organize materials for storage or production.
- Label and identify inventory in accordance with established procedures.
- Store materials appropriately and perform inventory audits to ensure inventory accuracy.
Material Handling
- Safely move materials throughout the facility using:
- Forklifts
- Electronic Pallet Jacks (EPJs)
- Reach Trucks
- Turret Trucks
- Load, unload, transport, and stage inventory while following all safety procedures.
- Maintain equipment and report operational issues as needed.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify workflow issues and potential downstream defects.
- Escalate operational roadblocks and support root cause investigations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and problem-solving activities.
- Support inventory accuracy and process optimization efforts.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in regular safety training.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in fulfillment center, warehouse, receiving, or inventory operations.
- Experience with inventory control, receiving, shipping, and material handling.
- Experience operating forklifts (required).
- Ability to safely operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic mathematical and analytical skills.
- Ability to derive inventory requirements from Bills of Material (BOMs).
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Warehouse, receiving, or inventory experience within the aerospace or automotive industry.
- Experience operating Electronic Pallet Jacks (EPJs).
- Experience with inventory management systems and warehouse management software.
- Knowledge of inventory auditing and cycle count processes.
- Experience supporting continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis.
