Job Position: Inventory Clerk- Direct Hire Positions Available!

Location: Aurora, IL 60502

Pay Rate: $21.00-22.00/hr

Shift: 7:00am-3:30pm

Description: Position Summary

The Inventory Clerk plays a key role in maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting efficient warehouse operations. This position is responsible for performing cycle counts, material identification, barcoding, inventory organization, and the movement of materials throughout the facility. The Inventory Clerk helps ensure inventory is accurately counted, labeled, stored, tracked, and maintained within the company s Warehouse Management System (WMS).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform routine cycle counts and physical inventory audits throughout the facility.

Accurately count raw materials, components, work-in-process, and finished goods, and reconcile physical quantities with system records.

Assist in researching and resolving inventory discrepancies.

Verify materials are stored in designated inventory locations and properly organized.

Label, barcode, and catalog inventory in accordance with company procedures.

Utilize barcode scanners and the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to locate, verify, and track inventory.

Support inventory transfers and material movement between warehouse, production, and storage locations.

Serve as a backup Reach Truck Operator as needed to support production flow and ensure timely material movement.

Operate reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment after completing required training and certification.

Maintain organized inventory locations, racks, and storage areas.

Identify misplaced, damaged, incorrectly labeled, or unidentified inventory and report discrepancies to the appropriate supervisor.

Assist with maintaining accurate item numbers, descriptions, quantities, and inventory locations within the system.

Support scheduled physical inventories, audits, and inventory control initiatives.

Collaborate with Receiving, Production, Shipping, and other departments to maintain inventory accuracy.


Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Previous inventory, warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling experience preferred.

Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), barcode scanners, cycle counting, and inventory control processes preferred.

Reach truck and/or forklift experience preferred.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain a high level of accuracy.

Basic math skills and the ability to accurately count inventory.

Basic computer skills with the ability to learn inventory management software and systems.

Ability to learn item numbers, inventory locations, labeling requirements, and inventory control procedures.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Ability to work safely in an active manufacturing and warehouse setting.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the workday.

Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Ability to operate material handling equipment safely and efficiently.

Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment with varying temperatures and noise levels.
