Job Title: Storeroom / Inventory Clerk – Maintenance Parts
Location: Seabrook, New Jersey
Schedule: First Shift, approximately 7:00 AM–3:30 PM or 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Pay Rate: $18.00–$22.00/hour
Employment Type: Contract
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Storeroom / Inventory Clerk to support the maintenance parts storeroom at a food and beverage manufacturing facility.
This individual will work alongside the existing Storeroom Clerk and Maintenance Planner to assist with cycle counting, inventory organization, and identifying obsolete or inaccurate maintenance parts as the facility prepares for a transition to a new building.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, comfortable working with physical inventory, and able to work well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily cycle counts of maintenance parts and supplies
- Compare physical inventory against printed inventory records and count sheets
- Identify missing, obsolete, or inaccurate inventory items
- Flag discrepancies and communicate findings to the Storeroom Clerk
- Assist with organizing shelves, aisles, and maintenance parts
- Help identify which existing parts will or will not be needed for the new facility
- Accurately record inventory counts and part information
- Support general storeroom cleanup and organization
- Work closely with the Storeroom Clerk and Maintenance Planner
- Follow all facility safety and workplace procedures
Qualifications
- Previous experience in inventory, warehouse, parts, stockroom, or storeroom work preferred
- Maintenance parts, MRO, manufacturing, or industrial inventory experience is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable performing repetitive inventory counts
- Ability to read part numbers, labels, and inventory sheets
- Basic computer skills
- Experience with inventory or maintenance systems such as eMaint is helpful but not required
- Must be dependable, organized, and able to work independently when needed
- Strong team-oriented attitude is required
Physical / Work Environment Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk throughout the shift
- Ability to reach and count parts on shelving
- Ability to lift and move light-to-moderate inventory items as needed
- Steel-toe footwear required
- Must follow all facility safety and PPE requirements
