The Inventory Clerk serves as a key point of contact between laboratory customers, service vendors, and internal teams, supporting laboratory operations through inventory management, asset tracking, work order coordination, and customer service. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate records, coordinating support services, ensuring compliance with site procedures, and contributing to efficient laboratory operations.
Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary liaison between laboratory customers, service vendors, and internal teams.
Coordinate laboratory support services and ensure timely completion of work requests.
Process and track service requests and work orders.
Schedule and coordinate vendor visits, maintenance activities, and laboratory support services.
Maintain accurate inventory, asset tracking, and equipment records.
Support laboratory operations through effective communication and customer service.
Monitor service activities and follow up on outstanding work orders.
Maintain compliance with site safety, quality, and operational procedures.
Assist with process improvement initiatives and service optimization projects.
Escort vendors and contractors as required while ensuring adherence to site requirements.
Generate reports and maintain documentation using Microsoft Office and applicable systems.
Support inventory management and asset control activities.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required.
1+ years of experience in laboratory operations, inventory management, customer service, or a related environment.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook.
Excellent customer service and relationship management skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently and proactively resolve issues.
Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
Commitment to safety, compliance, and quality standards.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
Knowledge of laboratory equipment and laboratory environments.
Experience with inventory tracking and asset management.
Experience supporting laboratory operations, facilities, or service coordination activities.
Experience participating in process improvement or service optimization initiatives.
