Inventory Clerk – 1st Shift

Job Title: Inventory Clerk – 1st Shift
Location: Charlotte
Schedule: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday 
Department: Warehouse Operations / Inventory Control
Reports To: Inventory Supervisor or Operations Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Inventory Clerk to support inventory control operations in our Charlotte, NC warehouse facility. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and supporting daily warehouse operations in a fast-paced distribution or 3PL environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform daily cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, shortages, and overages.
  • Verify product quantities, locations, lot numbers, and SKU accuracy.
  • Assist with receiving, put-away, picking, and shipping verification processes.
  • Use RF scanners and inventory tracking systems to monitor product movement.
  • Generate inventory reports and communicate findings to supervisors.
  • Ensure inventory transactions are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain organized inventory storage locations and warehouse cleanliness.
  • Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
  • Support physical inventory counts and other warehouse projects as needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1–2 years of inventory control or warehouse experience preferred.
  • Experience working in a distribution center or 3PL environment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with WMS systems and RF scanners preferred.
  • Strong computer and data entry skills, including Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and reach throughout the shift.
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures.
