Inventory Clerk

Summary

The Inventory Clerk Maintains records of materials in inventory and on order. Reconciles discrepancies in inventories and notifies the supervisor of irregularities.

Position is 100% on-site.

Essential Duties include the following; however, other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

• Monitors and maintains current inventory levels; processes purchasing orders as required; tracks orders and investigates problems.
• Records purchases and maintains database.
• Performs routine clerical duties, including data entry, and answering telephones.
• May handle cash and cash-related payments.
• Add and remove Courtesy Transportation Alternative units from inventory system.
• Process dealer trades and straight purchases.

Compensation: Hourly rate of $18.50 up to $20.00 per hour.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The individual should possess:        

• High school diploma, or equivalent.        
• Ability to maintain high ethical standards.    
• Ability to pay attention to detail; read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language; work well with the public; communicate in a professional manner on the phone; internet and in person; and use standard office equipment.
• Automotive dealership experience preferred.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Individual will be required to:

• Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
• Frequently lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 25 pounds.
