Job Title: Inventory Clerk
Job Description
The Inventory Technician receives, inspects, and stores materials while maintaining accurate inventory records to support efficient manufacturing and installation operations. This role ensures that materials are organized, available when needed, and handled safely within a warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
Receive incoming materials, hardware, and building components, verifying quantities and quality against packing slips and documentation.
Inspect, label, and properly store materials in designated locations to ensure easy identification and retrieval.
Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts, physical audits, and timely system updates.
Track stock levels and proactively flag low inventory, discrepancies, or potential shortages to the supply chain team.
Collaborate closely with the supply chain team to support reordering activities and vendor coordination.
Pick, kit, and stage materials for manufacturing production runs and installation crews to ensure smooth workflow.
Process inbound and outbound shipments, including verifying documentation and ensuring proper recording of all movements.
Organize and maintain warehouse spaces to promote clean, efficient, and safe operations.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies in inventory and material flow processes and suggesting improvements.
Handle materials safely using appropriate equipment and follow established warehouse procedures to prevent damage or loss.
Essential Skills
Proven experience working with inventory in a warehouse, manufacturing, construction, or prefab/modular building environment.
Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in record-keeping and data entry.
Ability to read and interpret packing slips, bills of materials (BOMs), and work orders.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on your feet for extended periods.
Team-first mindset with strong communication and collaboration skills.
Material handling experience, including organizing and stocking shelves.
Forklift operation skills or prior exposure to forklift use in a warehouse setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in manufacturing, construction, or prefab/modular building environments.
Familiarity with lean inventory principles or 5S methodology.
Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
Comfort working in a structured environment with defined processes and standards.

Work Environment
This role is based in a warehouse setting focused on manufacturing and building components. You will work around shelving, material storage areas, and handling equipment such as forklifts. You can expect a hands-on, physically active role that requires adherence to warehouse procedures and safe material-handling practices.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr.
