Food Manufacturing Company – Niles, IL

Starting Pay: $20 per hour

Shift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM)

Pay Frequency: Weekly

Join a growing food manufacturing company in Niles, IL! We're looking for a detail-oriented Cycle Counter to help maintain accurate warehouse inventory and support daily warehouse operations. If you're organized, dependable, and experienced in inventory control, this is a great opportunity to join a long-term team with weekly pay.

What You'll Do

• Perform daily cycle counts of raw materials, packaging materials, finished goods, and non-conforming inventory.

• Utilize inventory management software to process cycle counts, review inventory levels, and investigate inventory activity.

• Verify materials are stored in the correct warehouse locations and locate missing or misplaced inventory.

• Count, weigh, and label products to ensure accurate inventory records.

• Report inventory discrepancies, damaged products, and inventory variances to supervisors.

• Assist with root cause analysis and recommend process improvements to increase inventory accuracy.

• Support receiving, put-away, and material transfers between the warehouse and production areas.

• Break down boxes and pallets as needed to maximize storage space.

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse while following all food safety and company safety procedures.

• Wear required PPE at all times and assist with overtime or weekend work when needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• At least 1 year of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or inventory control experience.

• Previous cycle counting or inventory experience preferred.

• Forklift experience is preferred.

• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

• Comfortable using computers, Microsoft Office, and inventory management systems.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

• Basic math skills, including measurements, percentages, and ratios.

• Ability to lift, move, and organize warehouse materials as needed.

• Reliable attendance and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Available to work overtime and weekends when business needs require.
