Required Qualifications
Education: HS Diploma/GED
Experience:
- Lift 50lbs, push / pull carts
- Read / Write, good communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Must be able to wear safety toe boots

Key Responsibilities:
Conducts oneself in a courteous manner with visitors and employees. Identifies self, if requested, by name clearly and concisely. Responds to inquiries politely and promptly. Refers matters outside the scope of own duties to appropriate others as necessary, keeping visitors and others informed as needed.
Picks orders and loads skids or hand trucks with merchandise for delivery to departments, delivers shipments to appropriate departments according to schedule while obtaining appropriate signature as required. Rotates stock appropriately while checking product expiration dates.
Verifies delivery tickets against supplies received and notifies the immediate supervisor of any discrepancies.
Receives items or merchandise from departments or outside vendors and examines packages for discrepancies and notifies the supervisor if concealed damaged or other irregularities exist. Indicates discrepancies on purchase orders, receiving report and packing slip in accordance with established procedures. Returns items to sender if unable to identify for proper delivery.
Instructs departments when needed, regarding proper procedures in order to prevent breakage or damage. Inspects and repacks when necessary and prepares necessary labels, packing slips, and signatures as required. Organizes and follows through on departmental returns, seeing that the credit paper work is filled out correctly and that the items are sent back to the warehouse in a timely manner making sure items are not expired or damaged.
Operates hydraulic lift to move, stack or store skids of case goods. Operates cardboard bailer.
Assists in periodic cycle inventory count to monitor flow of materials through the department.
Utilizes computer systems and hand held devices to input or retrieve information when needed.
May be required to work at any network Hospital when needed as assigned to General Stores.
If assigned to General Stores, makes outside deliveries when necessary, and drives vehicle in accordance with State, City and Hospital rules and regulations ensuring that all safety regulations are being met.
Performs various housekeeping duties, i.e., sweeping, mopping floors, cleaning shelves, shifting stock, removing empty cartons, wrapping and packing materials, etc.
Complies with departmental safety standards.
Answers the telephone in absence of office personnel.
Performs other job related duties as assigned.
