Inventory & Compliance Team Leader

Job Description

• Experience Required: 6 months to 1 year
• Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent plus 18 months to 3 years of additional training
• Lifting Requirement: Up to 50 pounds
• Age Requirement: At least 21 years of age

Job Responsibilities

• Manage the P&L for department. Review and analyze financial, LOB reports, and historical reports to improve performance in sales, profits, shrink, labor controls, and reduction.
• Conduct regular safety and compliance audits, monitor and implement compliance measures.
• Conduct annual performance reviews of direct reports. Appraise Team Members' productivity and efficiency for the purpose of recommending promotions or other changes in status.
• Interview and select candidates for roles. Direct, oversee, and evaluate training provided to department Team Members to reduce turnover, promote efficiency and control labor costs.
• Identify strengths and opportunities of direct reports by coaching and observing team members. Develop future leaders, identify Team Members for promotions or other changes in status.
• Investigate departmental incidents including Team Member issues and complaints; discipline Team Members if necessary.
• Lead department meetings, establishing an ongoing communication plan with the team ensuring all Team Members are informed and prepared to put their best foot forward. Attend and participate in storewide meetings, team calls and corporate meetings.
• Review emails and reports, communicate with the merchandising team to ensure that promotions are properly communicated to Team Members and guests. Establish an ongoing communication plan with the team ensuring all Team Members are informed.
• Oversee periodic produce and floral Inventories for accuracy and monitor weekly fluctuations in inventory and shrink dollars.
• Regularly review auto-populated orders for departmental supplies, escalate when issues arise
• Creates schedule for Team Members and delegate work assignments effectively utilizing Team Members to maximize the store's profits
• Execute planogram and pricing compliance by following merchandise letters and PDPs, executing all sign package responsibilities and daily/weekly price changes
• Build the store's product assortment through PDP execution and vendor management by cultivating strong working relationships with guests/vendors/suppliers
• Train cashiers on seasonal produce identification to ensure accurate checkout and customer service

The hiring range for this position is $20.25- $27.00 per hour/year. This range represents the anticipated base pay for this role. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, education, and location.
