Inventory Control and Materials Planner

Step into a role where your organization, data savvy, and operational instincts keep production moving. As the Inventory Control and Materials Planner at RiteScreen, you’ll ensure the right materials are in the right place at the right time—while upholding 5S and safety standards.

A day in the life

You start by reviewing ERP dashboards to confirm overnight receipts and check stock positions. A quick walk-through of the storage area ensures labels are clear, bins are tidy, and 5S standards are on point. Mid-morning, you verify incoming materials for quality compliance, reconcile counts, and log details in the ERP. You touch base with Purchasing to accelerate a critical shipment, then coordinate delivery timing across departments. In the afternoon, you compile vendor performance data, prepare inventory and delivery status reports, and, when needed, move materials between work centers using manual or powered handling equipment. You wrap up with cycle counts, adjust reorder points, and jump in on any additional tasks your manager needs to keep operations flowing.

What you’ll own

  • Receiving, storing, issuing, and accurately recording materials
  • Quality verification and timely ERP data entry
  • Monitoring inventory, anticipating reorder points, and scheduling deliveries
  • Tracking shipments and partnering with Purchasing to expedite when required
  • Supporting regional materials strategies with a service-first approach
  • Providing data for vendor evaluations and producing clear inventory/delivery reports
  • Maintaining an orderly, well-labeled storage area aligned to 5S
  • Following safety and quality procedures without compromise
  • Transporting materials between departments using appropriate equipment
  • Pitching in with other duties as assigned by management

What you’ll bring

  • 2+ years in inventory management, purchasing, or materials handling
  • Strong Excel skills and a passion for data accuracy and analysis
  • High attention to detail and clear, effective communication
  • Familiarity with 5S and cycle counting
  • Experience with ERP systems (or the eagerness to learn quickly)

Preferred

  • Background in supply chain management principles
  • Knowledge of planning, procurement, and logistics
  • Forklift certification
  • Bilingual ability strongly preferred

Why join RiteScreen

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • Retirement savings plan with company match
  • Generous paid time off
  • Training and career advancement opportunities
  • A collaborative, supportive team that values your ideas

This is your chance to make a daily, visible impact on a dynamic supply chain team—driving accuracy, efficiency, and reliability across our facility.
