Inventory Control and Warehouse Logistics Supervisor
Location: Fairfield, NJ 07004
Schedule: Full-time; overtime and weekend work as operational needs require

Can you lead a small team, run a tight warehouse, and still hop on a forklift when the dock gets busy? At Unifoil, you’ll orchestrate shipping and receiving while safeguarding documentation accuracy and inventory integrity—so production never misses a beat and customers get flawless deliveries.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Set the pace: Plan and direct daily warehouse, shipping, and receiving workflows; assign responsibilities and uphold safety, quality, and timeliness.
- Lead from the front: Supervise, train, and mentor ~3–4 warehouse team members; model hands-on support during peak periods or coverage gaps.
- Control the clock: Coordinate inbound deliveries, outbound shipments, and carrier pickups; communicate schedule changes and mitigate delays.
- Own the paper trail: Prepare and audit bills of lading, packing lists, shipping records, and receiving documents.
- Validate every move: Check quantities, condition, labels, and destinations for all inbound/outbound materials and finished goods.
- Move with purpose: Safely operate forklifts and clamp trucks to load, unload, stage, transport, and store inventory.
- Keep it tidy: Maintain organized storage locations; ensure everything is labeled and staged correctly.
- Protect accuracy: Support cycle counts and dig into discrepancies to restore inventory accuracy.
- Unblock flow: Collaborate with production and other departments to keep materials moving through the facility.
- Communicate early: Interface with carriers, drivers, vendors, and internal teams to resolve logistics issues quickly.
- Fix fast: Resolve shipping, receiving, documentation, and inventory problems promptly.
- Champion safety: Enforce safety procedures, equipment standards, housekeeping, and company policies.
- Inspect and report: Check warehouse equipment regularly and escalate maintenance or safety concerns.
- Continuously improve: Identify and implement enhancements to organization, workflow, inventory control, and shipping efficiency.
What You Bring
- Background in warehouse operations, shipping, receiving, or logistics.
- Experience leading or supervising warehouse staff.
- Proven ability to operate forklifts and clamp trucks safely.
- Skill coordinating inbound and outbound freight.
- Knowledge of bills of lading and related shipping/receiving documents.
- Excellent organization, scheduling, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Comfort managing multiple priorities in a dynamic production/shipping environment.
- Strong attention to detail for all inventory and shipment documentation.
- Basic familiarity with warehouse or inventory systems and Microsoft Office.
- Effective written and verbal communicator.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Readiness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Preferred Profile
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse, shipping, receiving, or logistics.
- Experience in manufacturing, converting, printing, packaging, or similar industrial environments.
- Current certification for forklifts or powered industrial trucks.
- Experience with inventory control, cycle counts, and warehouse management systems.
- Associate degree or additional training in logistics, supply chain management, operations, or related fields.
Physical and Work Conditions
- Active warehouse/manufacturing environment.
- Standing and walking for extended periods; frequent bending, reaching, stooping, and material handling.
- Safe operation of forklifts, clamp trucks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Use of required personal protective equipment.
- Overtime, weekends, and schedule adjustments aligned with shipping, receiving, and production needs.
