The Fountain Group is currently seeking an Inventory Control Clerkfor a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Bay Point, CA.Details for the position are as follows:
 
 
Job Description:
  • Payrate: $25-28/hr W2
  • Duration: 12 months contract (possible extension based on performance & budget)
  • Inventory Specialist - This is a hands-on position with a heavy emphasis on leading the activities that relate to inventory and spare parts management for the Maintenance Team.
  • Ability to work a Monday through Friday assigned schedule, with occasional required weekends and overtime.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Be able to stand, crouch, kneel, and bend over for extended periods of time.
 
Required Skills:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing, warehousing, and/or maintenance environment is required.
  • Experience with inventory management/parts procurement for a maintenance organization is desired.
  • Experienced using a forklift and pallet jack is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of inventory management and quality management.
  • Computer literate in MS office suite, primarily MS Excel.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Handle all aspects of inventory movements of consumables and spare parts, including stocking and re-stocking, for the Maintenance team.
  • Set-up and organize spare parts areas.
  • Compile and maintain records of the quantity, type, and value of the inventory on hand.
  • Familiar with spare parts associated with an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Oversees the records of all inventoried items for the maintenance department and compiles reports as needed.
  • Coordinates activities with external vendor managed inventory.
  • Participates in inventory cycle counting.
  • Ability to Utilize CMMS (SAP) for parts inventory management, tracking and invoicing.
  • Strong safety and organizational (5S) mindset.
  • Works closely with the Maintenance group to maintain readiness for any inspection or audit.
