Seeking Ful Inventory Control Clerk to work full-time, 80 hours bi-weekly, Monday - Friday 8a - 4:30p

Job Summary
Under intermediate-level supervision, the Operations Support Specialist ensures the seamless flow of clinical equipment and facility resources. This role focuses on the lifecycle of medical assets, including delivery, triage, maintenance tracking, inventory control, incoming inspections, and operational checks to support departmental efficiency. This involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, managing asset documentation, equipment readiness, and translating clinical staff equipment requests into actionable tasks to streamline the equipment cycle.

Essential Functions: Operations & Logistics

  • Asset Management: Performs rapid delivery, pick-up, and status triage for critical medical equipment (IV pumps, Wound Vacs, Teleboxes, etc.).
  • Maintenance Coordination: Monitors Preventive Maintenance (PM) status; identifies and routes equipment for proper follow-up.
  • Technical Assistance: Operational checks and incoming inspections on assigned equipment. Conducts first-level cleaning and preparation of equipment for the Biomed office; monitors and replaces tracking hardware (e.g., Midmark trackers).
  • Inventory & Supply Chain: Provide staff with cables (SPO2, EKG leads), probes, etc.
  • Equipment Tracking: Tracks the location of equipment using the equipment tracking system; as well as round the hospital to search for equipment.
  • Environmental Operations: Oversees battery lifecycle management; tests, sorts, and determines disposal or repurposing protocols for power cells.
  • Documentation: Utilizes Computerized Maintenance and Management System (FSI) to keep track of services provided.
  • Additional duties: Perform additional duties as requested.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Technical Aptitude: Ability to use basic tools (battery testers, hand tools) and understand technical equipment status indicators.
  • Logistical Coordination: Strong ability to prioritize urgent equipment requests in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Inventory Control: Proficiency in tracking assets and keeping equipment inventory aligned with the operations.
  • Process focused: Identify and segregate defective assets for technical inspection and repair.

Minimum Education required and Preferred Experienced

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ prior experience in a hospital setting preferred.

Physical Demands:

Light to Moderate Work - Lifting up to 15 pounds on frequent basis. This role requires a significant amount of walking, standing, and pushing equipment carts throughout the facility to satisfy delivery and pick-up requirements.

Pay is based on experience, skills and education.   If position is part-time, salary will be pro-rated based on scheduled hours.  The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on specialty if applicable. Non-Exempt positions may have shift differential and/or Overtime paid, if applicable.

Hourly range: $18.34 - $25.60
