Inventory Control Clerk

PGS Worldwide is seeking an Inventory Control Clerk in Goleta, California for an approximately five-month onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will maintain accurate inventory records for materials, equipment, repair parts, and manufacturing assets. The Inventory Control Clerk will track material receipts and issues, investigate inventory discrepancies, verify incoming materials, and maintain accurate records supporting manufacturing operations.

Required Skills

• 2–4 years of inventory control experience.
• 2–4 years of inventory management experience.
• Experience maintaining inventory records for materials, equipment, parts, or manufacturing assets.
• Ability to accurately track material received, stocked, issued, and requisitioned.
• Experience identifying and investigating inventory discrepancies.
• Strong attention to detail and recordkeeping accuracy.
• Ability to work independently while supporting manufacturing and operations teams.

What You’ll Do

• Compile and maintain records for materials received, stocked, and issued.
• Track quantities, costs, and types of inventory.
• Requisition materials and supplies as needed.
• Verify incoming materials and identify irregularities or discrepancies.
• Inspect received items and identify defective or unacceptable material.
• Prepare inventory reports and maintain accurate stock records.
• Investigate discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
• Track costs associated with equipment repairs, services, and replacement parts.
• Log parts and critical components according to the associated equipment or manufacturing asset.
• Maintain accurate inventory information supporting manufacturing-floor operations.

Work Schedule / Shift

• Monday–Friday.
• 8-hour shifts.
• Expected start time is no later than 8:00 AM each day.

Pay

• $35.96 per hour.
