The Office of the Medical Investigator (OMI), a special program within the Department of Pathology at The University of New Mexico School of Medicine, is looking for an Inventory Control Coordinator to join our team. This is a full-time position. Our ideal candidate will be detail oriented and great with follow through. Some knowledge of typical autopsy language and inventory is helpful. We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic and able to work in an inventory control system. This position requires data entry and receiving. Our candidate will be able to deal with graphic sights and intense smell. We are a 24/7 facility. We work on the weekends and holidays.
Position Summary: The OMI investigates any death occurring across the state of New Mexico that is sudden, violent, untimely, unexpected or where a person is found dead and the cause of death is unknown. The OMI determines the cause and manner of death in these cases, and provides formal death certification.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED; at least 1 year of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified. Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control. Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data. Database management skills. Ability to analyze and solve problems. Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork. Ability to receive, stock, and/or deliver goods. Clerical, word processing, and/or office skills. Knowledge of university invoicing procedures.
