Job Title: Inventory Control CoordinatorJob Description

The Inventory Control Coordinator (Procurement/Parts Crib Administrator) supports die build and parts crib operations by coordinating parts ordering, receiving, shipping, inventory control, and vendor communication. This role ensures that parts are accurately identified, documented, stored, and delivered to support production schedules and timely die build completion in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily emails and Teams chats for updates affecting operations and communicate required actions to relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain 4S+S standards and keep the parts crib area organized, clean, and efficient to support safe and effective operations.
  • Review bulk item requests, shortage notifications, and damaged-part reports and initiate appropriate follow-up actions.
  • Verify crib inventory levels before placing orders and support parts quoting activities to ensure accurate procurement.
  • Gather costing, lead-time, and comparison data to support ordering decisions and vendor selection.
  • Use enterprise resource planning systems, SAP Ariba, Microsoft 365, and related tools to process purchase orders, receive parts, and track activities.
  • Review Catia, XVL, and design PDFs to verify changes, confirm part details, and identify potential issues.
  • Send parts lists to vendors for quoting and support annual quote activities and vendor pricing updates.
  • Receive parts by matching packing slips to quoted parts lists, die numbers, quantities, and descriptions to ensure accuracy.
  • Prepare, organize, and route parts carts, shipping materials, paperwork, and labels to support timely delivery and shipment.
  • Unload trucks, crates, fixtures, and parts using forklifts and mobile ramps, following established safety procedures.
  • Maintain paper records, parts trees, and partial-order documentation to ensure accurate tracking of inventory and orders.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal partners to resolve issues related to damaged, missing, incorrect, expedited, or modified parts.
  • Support shipping and receiving activities, including warehouse packing and material handling as needed.
  • Collaborate with operations, engineering administration, project coordination, and other internal teams to support die build and manufacturing schedules.
  • Respond to urgent parts and shipping needs and work through breaks or lunches when required to meet operational demands.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 4+ years of experience in shipping and receiving, inventory control, parts crib operations, or manufacturing support preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience collaborating with vendors and/or suppliers.
  • Proven experience in inventory control, inventory management, and material handling.
  • Ability to read parts lists, packing slips, and basic technical documentation.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and follow-up skills.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn manufacturing systems quickly.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to use enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for procurement and inventory activities.
  • Experience with purchase orders, procurement, purchasing, and vendor relationship management.
  • Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed to meet operational requirements.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to lift parts and boxes over 35 lbs.
  • Ability to operate forklifts, easy-go vehicles, banders, and related material-handling equipment.
  • Ability to unload trucks, crates, fixtures, and pallets safely.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with enterprise-level Manufacturing Execution Systems.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP Ariba for procurement and inventory processes.
  • Efficient computer skills with Microsoft 365, including Excel and other productivity tools.
  • Experience reviewing CAD or Catia models and technical drawings.
  • Prior experience in die build, tooling, or manufacturing support environments.
  • Familiarity with vendor quoting processes, inventory control best practices, and parts logistics.
  • Background in administrative support, engineering administration, project coordination, or general administration.
  • Experience in warehouse packing, shipping and receiving operations, and document control.

Work Environment

This role operates in a manufacturing and parts crib environment with regular interaction across operations, shipping and receiving, vendors, and leadership. The work involves active material handling, including unloading trucks, moving crates and fixtures, and using forklifts, mobile ramps, banders, and other material-handling equipment. The environment is fast-paced and requires flexibility, strong attention to detail, and the ability to respond quickly to urgent parts and shipping needs. Team members collaborate closely with internal departments and external suppliers to support production schedules and die build timelines, working overtime when necessary to meet operational demands.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $38.00/hr.
