UW Medicine Supply Chain at UW Medical Center-Harborview has an outstanding opportunity for a TEMPORARY Inventory Control Coordinator!

DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION

UW Medicine Supply Chain Management enhances our patient care experience by delivering a robust foundation of services, operational and technical support, and the sharing of comprehensive, relevant, and highly specialized supply chain management expertise.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

The Inventory Control (IC) Coordinator is responsible for the management of inventory and logistics for the UW Medical Center-Harborview. The IC Coordinator is accountable for managing assigned inventories through daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly cycle counts and leads staff in conducting annual physical counts; requisitioning replenishments: seeking alternative sources and/or materials adjust quantities and locations, when necessary and records/reports discrepancies to management; maintaining communication with supported customers: monitoring supplies usage; and removing/disposing of obsolete, outdated, or recalled products. The IC Coordinator is accountable for the implementation of the UW Medicine Supply Chain strategy under the direction of the Director, Program Operations

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides day-to-day accountability for assigned inventories to ensure continuous supply availability and optimal stock levels across supported operations

  • Maintains inventory systems, data accuracy, and reporting tools to support supply chain operations, compliance, and decision making

  • Serves as an operational liaison between Supply Chain, clinical, and procedural stakeholders to ensure clear communication and effective inventory support

  • Supports inventory related projects and continuous improvement initiatives aligned with UW Medicine Supply Chain strategy

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare, Business or Logistics/Supply Chain Management

  • 2 years of Supply Chain Management or Finance experience.

  • Healthcare business operations and/or financial management experience in a healthcare setting

  • Experience standardizing disparate processes

  • Experience in process improvement methodology, change management, project management, and operational improvement

Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
