A day in the life in Elgin, IL

Your shift starts with a quick scan of inventory dashboards and a walk through the warehouse. You validate counts on priority SKUs, reconcile any variances, and log every movement in our inventory system. Mid-morning, you huddle with Purchasing and Sales to align on near-term demand and adjust stocking targets. After lunch, you partner with the material blending team to stage and prepare blends for the molding department, ensuring the right materials are on hand at the right time. You wrap up by publishing a concise report on stock accuracy, open discrepancies, and recommendations, then coach a new teammate on our procedures and best practices.

What you’ll accomplish

  • Maintain optimal stock availability by monitoring levels and initiating replenishment.
  • Perform routine cycle counts and full audits to confirm accuracy; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
  • Forecast needs in collaboration with Purchasing and Sales to support customer demand.
  • Track item movements, transactions, and adjustments in inventory software; generate clear, actionable reports.
  • Establish and uphold inventory control SOPs and organization standards.
  • Support onboarding and training for new team members on systems and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and close out inventory-related issues quickly and effectively.
  • Coordinate with the material blending department to prepare materials for the molding department.

What you bring

  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate’s in logistics or related field preferred).
  • Hands-on experience in inventory control, warehousing, or a similar function.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational habits.
  • Comfort with inventory software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced setting.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
