Job Details

As a vital part of our team, the Inventory Control Director ensures that our food inventory is managed efficiently and effectively, allowing us to meet the growing demand for our services.

Position Summary:
The Inventory Control Director oversees all aspects of inventory management and warehouse operations at re. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations, and optimizing warehouse processes to support the efficient distribution of food. The Inventory Control Director collaborates with cross-functional teams, including procurement, operations, and volunteer services, to ensure the timely and equitable distribution of resources.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management:

o Develop and implement inventory control procedures to maintain accurate records of food and non-food items.
o Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with procurement to ensure adequate stock to meet program needs.
o Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.

  • Warehouse Operations:

o Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, and distribution.
o Ensure compliance with food safety standards, including proper storage temperatures and handling procedures.
o Manage and maintain warehouse equipment and facilities.

  • Data and Reporting:

o Utilize inventory management software to track and report on inventory levels, trends, and turnover.
o Prepare regular reports for senior leadership and external stakeholders.

  • Team Leadership:

o Supervise and provide direction to warehouse staff and volunteers.
o Develop training programs to ensure staff and volunteers understand inventory and food safety protocols.
o Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment.

  • Compliance and Safety:

o Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, including USDA, FDA, and local health department guidelines.
o Maintain accurate records for audits and inspections.
