Inventory Control Forklift Technician

Job Type: Hourly (Non-Exempt)

What success looks like

• Every pallet move captured in WMS/RF in real time.
• Shipments staged on time, labeled correctly, and verified for SKU, lot, and count.
• Clean, orderly docks with safe traffic patterns and compliant equipment.

Your impact

• Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts and pallet jacks with safety as your first move.
• Load/unload trailers and transfers aligned to shipping plans and operational priorities.
• Place pallets in racking, manage staging zones, and follow FIFO rigorously.
• Run system transactions: location updates, transfers, and shipment confirmations.
• Assist with cycle counts, audits, and root-cause investigations of variances.
• Inspect equipment daily; follow OSHA and company safety standards.
• Coach Level I Operators on scanning and warehouse procedures when needed.

What you’ll need

• 2+ years of forklift operation in warehouse/manufacturing/distribution preferred.
• Comfort with RF scanners and WMS preferred.
• Strong understanding of warehouse/inventory control practices.
• Ability to navigate tight aisles and high-traffic areas safely.
• Detail-first approach, with excellent teamwork and communication.
• Flexibility for overtime, weekends, and alternate shifts.
• Forklift certification preferred or willingness to become certified.

Physical capability

• Lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.
• Frequent bending, twisting, walking.
• Standing for 8–10+ hours per shift.
