    Description

    Job Summary
    The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for overseeing the receipt, storage, and distribution of inventory to ensure accurate stock levels, minimize losses, and support smooth operations across the supply chain, from plant to distribution center. This role includes inventory falling into 3 categories, 1) materials, 2) WIP (mothers) and finished goods. This role manages inventory control processes, coordinates with purchasing and warehouse teams, and uses data analysis to optimize stock accuracy and turnover.
     
    Essential Functions and Responsibilities 
    • Employs standards, metrics, and procedures that maximize inventory management efficiency.
    • Ensure inventory is accurate in the areas of RTE, Raw, and Finished Goods by performing daily cycle counts and corrections.
    • Employ counting to ensure ongoing accuracy of all inventories
    • Perform quarterly inventory audits and assist with the Year-End Inventory Audit
    • Facilitate communication involving any inventory discrepancies or other concerns with the appropriate team members
    • Foster effective working relationships with production, material handlers, planning & design, purchasing, warehouse management, accounting, and quality assurance
    • Investigate inventory discrepancies and make corrections as needed
    • Assist with analysis of inventory-related transactions such as (but not limited to) process order yields, delivery notes, material usage, Bill of Material quantities, and Weeks of Supply 
    • Collaborates with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to identify and prioritize initiatives to optimize inventory capabilities and develop best inventory management practices.
     
    Qualification & Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field (or equivalent experience) 
     
    Experience Required:
    • 3+ years of experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or supply chain
     
    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
    • Proficiency with inventory/ERP software (e.g., Aptean, SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, Fishbowl, or similar)
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
    • Proficiency in Excel/data analysis tools
    • Proficiency in AI tools such as ClaudeAI
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Strong analytical skills combined with a high level of attention to detail.
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively handle multiple priorities.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills to work with employees and managers at all levels.
    • Thorough understanding of inventory policies and procedures.
    • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) or similar desirable
    • Experience with demand forecasting and inventory optimization tools
    • Experience managing a team
    • Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma principles

    Pay Range: $90,000 - $125,000 per year
     
    Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
