Inventory Control Material Movement Specialist
Location: Saint Joseph, MI
Reports To: Production Supervisor or Designee
Make flow happen—every shift
Own the movement of materials from receiving to storage to assembly to shipment—keeping counts tight and orders on time.
What you will do
- Ship finished goods from assembly using correct system steps and documentation.
- Receive and stock inbound materials into inventory with accurate Epicor transactions.
- Record all material movements in Epicor to safeguard inventory integrity.
- Operate gas or electric forklifts (Reach and Counterbalance) and related material handling equipment.
- Load and unload semi trailers.
- Support other related assignments and projects as needed.
What you bring
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 6–12 months on material handling equipment and 1–3 months related work experience.
- Knowledge of warehouse product flow and the significance of precise inventory transactions.
- Ability to use or learn RF scanners and tablets; solid basic computer skills (data entry).
- Experience with ERP systems (Epicor preferred).
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions; basic math proficiency; dependable work ethic.
- Team-oriented with the ability to work independently when needed.
- Comfortable with basic hand tools (air drivers, wrenches, etc.).
Physical requirements
- Standing and walking 8+ hours; frequent long-distance walking.
- Climbing step stools/small ladders.
- Frequent bending/stooping.
- Lifting up to 50 lbs.
